JNPA Chief Dayal Inaugurates New Super Panamax Quay Cranes at PSA Mumbai

Marking a significant milestone for the facility, Gaurav Dayal, IAS, Chairperson of JNPA, inaugurated new Super Panamax Quay Cranes (QCs) at PSA Mumbai, one of the container terminals at JNPA, on 14 May 2026.
Dayal was joined by Ravish Kumar Singh, IRTS, Deputy Chairperson, JNPA; Vincent Ng, CEO for Middle East, South Asia, Africa, and Turkiye at PSA International; and Ashwin Arvind, Executive Director, PSA Mumbai, during the inauguration.
According to officials, this landmark addition enhances BMCTPL (PSA Mumbai)’s operational capacity and will further increase the overall capacity of JNPA, while reinforcing the strong partnership between JNPA and PSA Mumbai in delivering world-class port infrastructure and supporting India’s growing trade.
It also marks a step forward in improving efficiency, achieving faster turnaround times, and positioning JNPA as a leading gateway for global commerce.
