Chennai Port Authority Gets New Vigilance Chief

Anugraha P, IAS, a 2011 batch officer from the Madhya Pradesh cadre, on 20 April assumed charge as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Chennai Port Authority, under Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways.
It may be noted that Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on 30 March 2026 approved her appointment as CVO in Chennai Port Authority.
According to a media release from the authority, Anugraha, who was hitherto serving as Director in the Department of Pharmaceuticals, New Delhi, has rich experience in administrative leadership including roles as District Collector in Madhya Pradesh, focusing on social initiatives, education, Digital Governance.
Anugraha completed her bachelor’s degree in engineering from PSG College of Technology. She joined the Indian Administrative Service in 2011.
Anugraha has held various leadership positions in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Her initiatives were aimed at improving the socioeconomic parameters of weaker sections of the society and at women empowerment through education and skill development programs.
As District Collector in Shivpuri and Khargone, she has improved education standards in remote rural areas by upgrading school infrastructure and manpower training, by introducing innovative pedagogy, and by addressing issues of child labor, malnutrition, and migration. She holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University.
