DBGT Handles M.V. WAN HAI 372 Ad Hoc Call Bound for Chinese Ports from Tuticorin

Dakshin Bharat Gateway Terminal (DBGT) at V.O,Chidambaranar Port, Tuticorin, successfully handled the ad hoc call of M.V. WAN HAI 372 on 1 September 2026, marking the first vessel of the WAN HAI line to call at the terminal since 19 November 2024. 

The container vessel, with a capacity of 2,269 TEUs, berthed at DBGT at 0325 hours. During its stay, the terminal handled 580 units amounting to 1,134 TEUs. The ship’s port rotation was Khalifa (UAE) – DBGT (Tuticorin) – Qingdao (China).

This ad hoc call is seen as a significant milestone that underscores the growing confidence of international shipping partners in DBGT’s operational capabilities.

Terminal officials expressed gratitude for the continuous support and coordination extended by VOC Port authorities, the trust reposed by customers, and the seamless collaboration of all stakeholders involved in the operation. 

DBGT reiterated its commitment to facilitating global trade through safe, efficient and reliable terminal services.
