VOC Port Successfully Handles Longest-Ever Windmill Blades, Sets New Record

V O Chidambaranar Port on 23 March 2026 successfully handled windmill blades measuring an impressive 90.6 metres, the longest ever handled at the port, surpassing the previous record of 89.6 metres. This milestone operation was executed from the vessel MV Da Gui.
The vessel agency services were managed by M/s. Aacen Shipping Agencies Pvt. Ltd., stevedoring operations by M/s. Aasian Shipping Agencies, and sea transportation by M/s. COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers Co. Ltd. Customs clearance, shore handling, and transportation are being undertaken by M/s. NTC Logistics India Pvt. Ltd., with the cargo received by VENWIND REF Power Limited.
According to a statement from the port, this achievement highlights VOC Port’s “capability” in handling over-dimensional cargo with precision and efficiency, strengthening its role in renewable energy logistics.
