V.O. Chidambaranar Port Signs MoU With DNV for Green Fuels Bunkering Certification

V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, Tuticorin, marked a significant milestone in its green maritime journey with the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding with DNV at Singapore Maritime Week.
The MoU was exchanged between Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, Chairperson, VOCPA, and Antony Marian D’Souza, Regional President & Director, DNV Maritime, Region Southeast Asia, Pacific and Indian Subcontinent, in the esteemed presence of Vijay Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), Government of India.
This strategic collaboration will support the development of port readiness certification for green fuels bunkering at VOC Port, aligned with leading global benchmarks, while also strengthening India’s capabilities in sustainable maritime practices. The partnership reinforces VOC Port’s commitment to advancing green shipping and positioning India as a credible and competitive hub in the global green maritime ecosystem.
