Port Wings News Network:
TrucksUp, a leading AI-enabled logistics aggregator platform has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), through the Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL), to improve the safety, efficiency and overall user experience of commercial vehicle drivers, truck fleet operators & groups across all National Highways in India.
This collaboration brings multiple commercial vehicle aggregation platforms together to implement interoperable, technology-driven solutions to enhance the ease of travel on national highways and foster participatory governance within the transportation ecosystem.
As part of this partnership, TrucksUp will integrate the “Rajmargyatra App” onto its Platform. The App will deliver drivers with real-time safety alerts and action-orientated travel updates about things such as accident-prone areas, diversions, construction zones, adverse weather, and other risks while driving on the road. The platform will allow drivers to report through a geo-tagged input method (i.e. using GPS coordinates) on things such as potholes, broken crash barriers, and other unsafe roadside areas, which will provide solutions via a centralised reporting system. Additionally, TrucksUp will add the “Call 1033” capability, which will allow drivers to get fast access to National Highway Helpline for emergency response and assistance.
Commenting on the collaboration, Sarthak, spokesperson at TrucksUp, said, “This partnership with NHAI marks a significant step towards building a safer and more efficient highway ecosystem. By integrating real-time data, driver feedback, and emergency response systems, we are empowering drivers with the right information at the right time, ultimately enhancing road safety and operational efficiency.”
He further added, “At TrucksUp, our focus has always been on leveraging technology to solve real-world challenges in logistics. Through this initiative, we aim to strengthen driver engagement, promote responsible driving practices, and contribute to a more transparent and responsive highway infrastructure.”
The objective of the collaboration will be to enhance the promotion of safe and responsible driving through creating awareness for safe driving through the Vishisht Saarthi program that recognizes drivers who drive in a safe manner.
The TrucksUp platform will provide structured feedback related to toll operation issues, problems with FASTag, and quality of wayside facilities to improve the standard of service of toll operations in India. The signing of this MoU represents the commitment of TrucksUp to continue to drive innovation and provide a safer, smarter logistics environment within India.
