SHM Shipcare Signs MoU with Medhavi Skills University to Strengthen Maritime Skill Development

SHM Shipcare Private Limited, one of the integrated maritime companies engaged in shipbuilding, ship repair, ship management, and maritime safety solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Medhavi Skills University, and officially affiliated SHM Academy to strengthen skill development in India’s maritime sector.

As part of this strategic collaboration, SHM Academy will function as an industry-integrated learning platform affiliated with Medhavi Skills University, combining academic excellence with practical industry exposure.

The partnership aims to deliver structured training programmes focused on maritime operations, marine safety, technical competencies and industry best practices, while addressing the evolving workforce requirements of the maritime industry.

The academy will offer programmes designed for students, early-career professionals and individuals seeking specialised training in maritime disciplines. The curriculum will cover areas including marine safety systems, vessel inspections, firefighting systems, alternative fuels, fire watch training, technical operations, regulatory compliance and workplace safety.

Through its official affiliation with Medhavi Skills University, SHM Academy will enable learners to access industry-relevant education aligned with recognised academic standards while enhancing their employability across the maritime ecosystem.
