Kamarajar Port Smashes Own Container Handling Record, Handles 10,487 TEUs in 67 hours

Kamarajar Port Limited (KPL), one of the major ports in India and situated in Tamil Nadu, has set a new milestone in container handling operations.
According to official sources, KPL successfully handled 10,487 TEUs on M.V. Maersk Gibraltar at Adani Ennore Container Terminal. The milestone achievement happened in just 67 hours on 25 April 2026, surpassing the previous record of 10,007 TEUs.
“This achievement reflects the dedication, operational excellence, and strong coordination of all stakeholders involved in port operations,” noted a post from the KPL social media.
