Kamarajar Port Hosts Delegates From DG Shipping

As part of the Second Expert Mission Training Program on Port State Control, Kamarajar Port Limited (KPL) on 17 February 2026 welcomed the delegates from the Directorate General of Shipping and the Indian Ocean Memorandum of Understanding (IOMOU) Port State Control (PSC).
According to a media statement, the field visit was organized to provide academic enrichment and hands-on exposure, strengthening professional capabilities in Port State Control procedures and compliance frameworks.
During the visit, the delegates carried out inspections of two vessels at the Port, gaining practical insights into safety standards, regulatory compliance, and operational best practices. The interaction also facilitated knowledge exchange on maritime safety, inspection protocols, and international maritime conventions.
