DCIL Embraces ‘Yoga for Healthy Ageing,’ Joins International Day of Yoga Celebrations

Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2026 with great enthusiasm across its Corporate Office, Regional Offices, Project Offices, and onboard DCIL dredgers, reflecting the organization’s commitment to promoting health, wellness, and holistic well-being among employees and their families.

The main programme was organized at the DCIL Corporate Office, H.B. Colony, Visakhapatnam, where employees and their family members actively participated in the yoga session.

Welcoming the gathering, Dr. P. K. Sethi, GM, (HOD) HR, DCIL expressed his gratitude to Jasmeet Singh Bindra, IRTS, Chairman, DCIL, Capt. S. Divakar, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, DCIL, and the Ministry for their encouragement and support in organizing the celebrations in a grand manner. He highlighted the importance of yoga in daily life and its role in enhancing physical fitness, mental well-being, and overall quality of life.

Madhavi, Yoga Instructor, Swaasa Yoga, along with her team, conducted the yoga session and demonstrated various yoga asanas, creating awareness about the immense benefits of yoga for maintaining a healthy body and a balanced mind.

Addressing the participants, Capt. K. M. Choudhary, Coordinating HOD, emphasized that yoga should become an integral part of every individual’s daily routine. He observed that the nation is indebted to the Government for reviving and promoting India’s rich ancient yoga heritage and stated that healthy and stress-free employees contribute more effectively to organizational growth and productivity.

As part of the nationwide observance, yoga sessions were also conducted at DCIL’s Regional Offices, Project Offices, and onboard dredgers, where officers and crew members participated enthusiastically, reaffirming their commitment to a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.

The celebrations were held in line with the International Day of Yoga 2026 theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” highlighting yoga’s transformative role in fostering physical, mental, and emotional well-being for people of all ages.
