DBGT Marching Towards Record Performance, Crosses Historic Milestone of 5 Million TEUs

Dakshin Bharat Gateway Terminal (DBGT), one of the premier container terminals in India and located at fastest growing V. O. Chidambaranar Port, is marching towards record performance this year. Recently, DBGT has achieved a significant operational milestone by handling 5 Million TEUs since the commencement of its operations.
Commenting on the achievement of milestone, DBGT management has expressed its gratitude for the continuous support and guidance of V. O. Chidambaranar Port Authority coupled with the continued trust and co-operation from our valued customers, shipping lines, logistics partners, EXIM Trade and stakeholders.
“The achievement was also credited to the dedication and hard work of the entire DBGT team whose commitment has been instrumental in reaching this milestone,” DBGT said in a statement.
To commemorate this achievement, employees actively participated in celebratory activities including cake cutting, a quiz competition and a tree plantation drive, symbolizing teamwork, knowledge sharing and the terminal’s commitment to sustainable growth.
“Reaching 5 Million TEUs marks an important chapter in DBGT’s journey, reinforcing its position as a key contributor to India’s maritime trade and logistics sector. The terminal remains focused on expanding capacity, enhancing efficiency and supporting the growing trade requirements of the region,” added DBGT management in a statement.
