DBGT Achieves Milestone by Handling Largest Parcel of EXIM Transhipment Containers

Dakshin Bharat Gateway Terminal (DBGT), a state-of-the-art container terminal located in V. O. Chidambaranar Port, Tuticorin, on 8 December 2025 announced a successful handling of a major EXIM transshipment parcel for the first time at the terminal.
According to a media statement, the vessel M. V. Mila 3 handled 1,969 TEUs, out of which 385 units of 20 foot EXIM containers for transhipment from Tamatave Port to New Mangalore Port have been discharged at DBGT, VOCPA, Tuticorin.
M. V. Mila 3 had arrived on 7 December 2025 at 1200 hours, berthed at 1345 hours and sailed out on 8 December 2025 at 0825 hours after the seamless completion of operations.
This achievement highlights DBGT’s growing role as a strategic transshipment hub on the East Coast of India and we are expecting even more transshipment containers to be handled through our terminal in the future.
