CMA CGM Announces New Direct Calls to Japan on EX1 Service

In a constant effort to enhance our worldwide coverage, CMA CGM on 2 March 2026 announced the launch of its own, dedicated service connecting Japan and US markets: The EX1 service will introduce three new direct calls to Japan, delivering improved frequency and best-in-class transit times.

As part of this optimization, the port rotation will be adjusted as follows: Qingdao – Busan – Kobe – Nagoya – Yokohama – Los Angeles – Oakland – Yokohama – Naha – Busan – Qingdao

The service will provide direct, weekly fixed-day connectivity between Japan and the US West Coast and offer following transit times to Los Angeles:

– Kobe 16 days | Nagoya 14 days | Yokohama 12 days

 In addition, our terminal assets –Fenix Marine Services in Los Angeles, Busan New Container Terminal and Honmoku D5 in Yokohama– will provide berthing priority and enable smooth connections for US cargo using on-dock rail.

The new rotation will take effect from the following sailing: – Vessel : M/V PRESIDENT LB JOHNSON

– Voyage : 0DBO7E1PL

– First departure under new rotation: Qingdao on 04/26/2026
