As part of its social responsibility initiative to motivate meritorious students, the Chennai Customs Brokers’ Association (CCBA) organised the Students’ Education Awards 2026 function on 11 July 2026 at the Malayalee Club in Chennai.

S. Natarajan, President, CCBA, presided over the function, while R.N. Sekar, Secretary, CCBA, welcomed the guests and students to the ceremony.

A. Manimaran, IRS, Commissioner of Customs (Audit), was the Chief Guest, while S. Padmanabhan, Director, Sattva Group, and T.J. Srinivasaraj, Chairman, Rector Logistics Pvt Ltd, were the Guests of Honour.

Addressing the gathering, Manimaran said: “Scoring marks alone cannot be considered true success. Success can be defined in many ways. Successfully overcoming a problem when it arises, or preventing the problem from occurring in the first place, both are victories. Helping someone without any hesitation during dangerous or difficult times is also a true sign of success. It is worrying that most of today’s youth are deeply immersed in social media. Students and parents should make concerted efforts to control this. Discipline, moral values, and ethics should be taught to students. Only then will our country, in the future, become a well-organized and exemplary nation like Singapore.”

Addressing the students, T.J. Srinivasaraj, President, Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) and Chairman of Rector Logistics, said: “My early career was also in this field. This sector is the reason I have achieved significant growth today. I am proud to be a member of this association. Students should not only focus on education but also develop other skills, including sports, and thereby carve a path of progress in life.”

Another special guest, S. Padmanabhan, Director, Sattva Group, said: “It is highly commendable that this association annually provides educational scholarships and appreciation certificates to the children of its members and the employees of their companies. This is one of the important duties of the association. Students should make good use of this support to pursue higher education and secure good jobs.”

During the event, appreciation certificates, prizes, and cash awards were presented to 109 students who had secured excellent marks in the 10th and 12th standard public examinations conducted by the Central and State Education Boards.

At the conclusion, the association’s Treasurer, R. Kumar, delivered the vote of thanks. Association office-bearers P. Divakaran Nair, S. Balaji, C.V. Karunakaran, C. Velmurugan, R. Kumar, and others also participated in the event.
