Chennai Air Cargo Commissionerate Organizes Preventive Health Awareness Campaign

The Chennai-VII (Air Cargo) Commissionerate, New Custom House, Meenambakkam, Chennai, in association with Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, has been organising a Preventive Health Awareness Campaign, Free Health Screening and Blood Donation Camp on 12 and 13 August 2025.
The inaugural session was graced by A. R. S. Kumar, Principal Chief Commissioner of Customs, Chennai Customs Zone, and Dr. M. G. Thamizh Valavan, Principal Commissioner of Customs, Chennai Airport & Air Cargo, with the active participation of officers of the New Custom House, Meenambakkam, Chennai and other stakeholders on 12 August 2025.
The health awareness campaign featured training sessions for all officers on Basic Life Support (BLS), preparedness for natural calamities, and response to emergencies and accidents. The free health screening included ECG, ophthalmology tests, dental examinations, blood pressure and sugar tests, hemoglobin checks, and other preventive health screenings for all the officers and other stakeholders. The initiative aims to encourage officers, staff, and stakeholders to prioritize preventive healthcare and contribute to the noble cause of blood donation. The programme reflects the Commissionerate’s commitment to promoting the well-being of its personnel and fostering community welfare through active collaboration with reputed healthcare institutions.
