JNPA’s DC Ravish Kumar Singh Assumes Additional Charge as Deputy Chairperson of Mumbai Port

Ravish Kumar Singh, IRTS, assumed additional charge as Deputy Chairperson, Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA) on 17 September 2026.
Singh is presently serving as Deputy Chairperson, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA). He brings with him rich experience in port administration, railway operations, logistics planning and commercial management. Prior to his assignment at JNPA, he served as Deputy Chief Operations Manager, Central Railway, and has held several key operational and commercial positions in Indian Railways.
On his assumption of charge, Singh was welcomed by Dr. M. Angamuthu, IAS, Chairperson, Mumbai Port Authority, along with Heads of Departments and senior officials.
Mumbai Port Authority also placed on record its sincere appreciation for Adesh Titarmare, IAS, who completed his tenure as Deputy Chairperson, Mumbai Port Authority, on 16 September 2026.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. M. Angamuthu, IAS, Chairperson, Mumbai Port Authority, said: “On behalf of Mumbai Port Authority, I extend a warm welcome to Shri Ravish Kumar Singh, IRTS, as Deputy Chairperson with additional charge. His wide experience in railway operations, logistics and port administration will be valuable as Mumbai Port continues to advance its initiatives in cargo operations, energy infrastructure, cruise tourism, marina development, sustainability and city-port interface projects. I also place on record our deep appreciation for the valuable contribution made by Shri Adesh Titarmare, IAS, during his tenure as Deputy Chairperson.”
Singh’s additional charge comes at a significant juncture when Mumbai Port Authority is progressing major initiatives under Master Plan 2047 and Eastern Waterfront Transformation, spanning port operations, cruise infrastructure, marine tourism, energy infrastructure, green port initiatives and public-facing maritime projects.
Mumbai Port Authority remains committed to strengthening its role as a working port, a leading cruise and passenger gateway, a key energy infrastructure centre and a vital maritime institution serving Mumbai and the nation.
