Shipping Secretary Vijay Kumar Visits Tuas Port in Singapore

Vijay Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), on 20 April 2026 visited Tuas Port, Singapore.
During the visit, he was accompanied by Venkatesapathy S, IAS, Joint Secretary (Ports, IT & E-Governance), Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, Chairperson, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, Tuticorin, Dr. Shilpak N. Ambule, IFS, High Commissioner of India to Singapore, along with other delegation members.
The visit enabled a comprehensive understanding of Tuas Port’s state-of-the-art infrastructure, advanced automation systems, and integrated digital operations.
It further underscored India’s strategic focus on adopting global best practices, enhancing operational efficiency, and advancing the development of smart, sustainable, and future-ready port ecosystems.
