With a view to strengthening its long-standing partnership with India and advancing cooperation in the energy transition, Port of Antwerp-Bruges will hold a high-level roadshow across India from 19 to 23 January 2026.

According to a media statement, roadshows will be organised in Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Delhi, along with a site visit to Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh by the port team.

The delegation will be led by Tom Hautekiet, Chief Business Development & Transition Officer of Port of Antwerp-Bruges and Chairman of the Belgian Hydrogen Council, reflecting the port’s strong focus on green hydrogen and sustainable trade corridors.

During the roadshow, Hautekiet will engage with senior representatives from India’s energy and infrastructure sectors, visit key port facilities, and participate as a speaker at a Green Hydrogen symposium in Delhi organised by GH2 India. Discussions will focus on hydrogen infrastructure development, green ammonia trade, port connectivity, and future import-export corridors between India and Europe.

The high-level nature of the visit highlights India’s growing role as a strategic partner in Europe’s energy transition and positions Port of Antwerp-Bruges as a key gateway for India’s green energy exports. Port of Antwerp-Bruges will also showcase its investments in hydrogen infrastructure, carbon capture and storage, renewable energy, and its ambition to become a carbon-neutral port by 2050.

The visit builds on recent cooperation milestones, including the MoU signed with GH2 India during the Belgian Economic Mission to India in March 2025, and the October 2025 visit of Indian government and industry representatives to Port of Antwerp-Bruges to explore hydrogen projects.

With an active presence in India since 2006, including a representative office in Mumbai, Port of Antwerp-Bruges will continue to deepen collaboration with Indian stakeholders and support the development of sustainable trade and energy corridors between India and Europe.
