Senior Official From Shipping Ministry Visits Paradip Port

As part of the regular review, Shri Sudhansh Pant, IAS, Hon’ble OSD, for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India, made his maiden visit to Paradip Port Authority on 15 December 2022.

He was extended a very warm welcome by Shri P. L. Haranadh, Chairman, PPA and Shri A.K. Bose, Dy. Chairman, PPA, at Jawahar Guest House.

On arrival at Wet Basin on 16 December, he was accorded Guard of Honour by the CISF, PPA contingent. Thereafter, he visited the Signal Station and conducted an inspection of the Port infrastructure and modernization project at Paradip Port during Harbour visit.

Further, Shri Pant visited to Mahanadi confluence and Iffco jetty by VIP launch and examined the prospects new Riverine Port. In the afternoon, he inaugurated new MCHP control room. He also visited to MCHP Rail Receival Station, JSW Iron Ore Tippler facility, PEQCT coal unloading hopper & KICT Silo to get an idea about actual Port operations.

On arrival at PPA Administrative Building in the evening, Shri Pant was accorded traditional welcome. He inaugurated the Mannad Manthan – the new Board Room of PPA and interacted with Sr. Officials regarding the prospective future Mega Port.
