Bahri Line Commences One More New Service at Kamarajar Port

Bahri Line commenced one more new service named FE service (Far East Europe) at Kamarajar Port to connect China and India to Saudi Arabia and Europe (Germany, France and Belgium).

Cargo profile of this service is mainly Break bulk and project cargos like Caterpillar, Gear boxes and Daimler exports. This new service will be a great opportunity for all the Exporters to export their cargo from KPL to Saudi Arabia and major European countries and also for the importers to get direct service from China to KPL.

Shri Sunil Paliwal, IAS, Chairman & Managing Director, KPL inaugurated the service at General Cargo Berth on 22.01.2023.  Mr. Rajith Aykkara, Director-Line of Bahri Line, Mr. Reby Das Nair, Director, Mr. Sreekumar, Director, Radiant Maritime and officials of KPL attended the inaugural event.

OSD From Shipping Ministry Visits Kamarajar Port

Shri Sudhansh Pant, IAS, Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways visited Kamarajar Port today (21st January, 2023).  He would assume the charge of Secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways w.e.f 01 February 2023.

During his visit to the Port, Shri Sudhansh Pant inaugurated the Satellite PHO office, 300 KWp Solar Power Plant and LNG Road. These projects have been developed at a cost of   about         Rs. 21 crores.

He inspected various cargo handling Terminals of Kamarajar Port. He was apprised of the various on-going construction and development activities in Kamarajar Port.

The OSD held a review meeting regarding performance of the Port with its officials.  Shri Sunil Paliwal, IAS, Chairman and Managing Director, KPL briefed the OSD about different areas in which the Port is trying to diversify its operations. The CMD also detailed out the infrastructure projects undertaken in a big way by Kamarajar Port.
