CONCOR Veteran Anil K Sonawane Joins Gateway Terminals India as CEO

Anil Khandu Sonawane, Executive Director (CONCOR) has assumed the charge as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of M/s Gateway Terminals India Pvt. Ltd (GTIL).

APM Terminals Mumbai also known as Gateway Terminals India (GTI) is part of APM Terminals global ports/terminal network. It is a joint venture between APM Terminals and the Container Corporation of India (CONCOR-A Government of India undertaking).

Being a seasoned logistics and multimodal transport leader, Sonawane brings over three decades of experience spanning ports, dry ports, rail logistics, air cargo, shipping, and supply chain management.

Prior to joining GTI, Anil Sonawane held several senior leadership roles at CONCOR, including Executive Director (Eastern Region), Group General Manager (Northern & Western Regions), and CEO of CONCOR Air Ltd.

He has been instrumental in developing containerised logistics solutions for Bulk Cargo, expanding multimodal transport networks, and driving trade facilitation initiatives across India.

He has attended several Seminars/Conferences/Trainings in Holland Belgium, USA, Dubai, Singapore etc. on Ports & Intermodal connectivity.

An MBA in International Business with specialised qualifications in Foreign Trade practices and Supply Chain Management, Sonawane combines strategic vision with deep operational expertise.

His extensive experience and customer-focused approach position him well to lead GTI’s next phase of growth and innovation in India’s logistics ecosystem.
