Kamarajar Port Sets New Container Handling Record

Kamarajar Port Limited has achieved a new milestone by handling 11,240 TEUs from a single container vessel on 21 September 2026, the highest number of containers handled from a single vessel among ports on the East Coast of India.
The record was achieved at the Container Terminal operated by AECTPL, during the call of M.V. MSC PAMELA under the AEX/NEMO service.
Handling of 10,563 TEUs was the previous record, achieved in June 2026 during the call of a Maersk Line vessel under the ME2 service.
This achievement reflects KPL’s growing capabilities, operational efficiency and commitment to delivering world-class maritime and logistics services.
