Paradip Port Chairperson Susanta Purohit Meets Senior Odisha Government Officials to Strengthen Coordination on Key Maritime Initiatives

Paradip Port Authority (PPA) Chairperson Susanta Kumar Purohit on 3 September 2026 paid a courtesy call on Anu Garg, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha, in Bhubaneswar, as part of efforts to further strengthen coordination between Paradip Port Authority and the State Government.
During his visit, Purohit also made separate courtesy calls on Hemant Sharma, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department; Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management Department; Usha Padhee, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary; NBS Rajput, IAS, Principal Secretary, Commerce & Transport Department; Satyabrata Sahu, IAS, Member, Board of Revenue, Odisha; and Shubha Sarma, IAS, Department of Water Resources.
The interactions covered matters related to the ongoing development and expansion of Paradip Port, with emphasis on strengthening coordination and institutional support for initiatives of strategic importance to the port and the State.
Purohit also made separate courtesy calls on Parmeshwar Funkwal, General Manager, East Coast Railway, and Sanjay Kumar Mishra, PCOM, East Coast Railway, and Member, PPA Board. The discussions focused on port connectivity, railway infrastructure, logistics and other initiatives supporting the continued growth of Paradip Port.
The meetings provided an opportunity to further strengthen coordination among Paradip Port Authority, the Government of Odisha and East Coast Railway on matters of strategic importance to the region’s maritime and industrial development.
The coordinated efforts are expected to support industrial growth, employment generation, maritime infrastructure, logistics, trade and regional development, further strengthening Paradip’s position as a key maritime gateway on India’s eastern coast.
