Sanjay Swarup, Chairman & Managing Director, Container Corporation of India Ltd., on 30 March 2026 visited V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, Tuticorin.
He was accorded a warm welcome by Chairperson Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, along with the Deputy Chairperson and senior officials of the Port.
During the visit, a comprehensive presentation was made highlighting the Port’s key initiatives and achievements. Discussions covered VOC Port’s progress in green and sustainable practices, advancements in cargo handling efficiency, infrastructure development, and its expanding role in container handling and logistics operations in the region.
The Port’s strategic focus on enhancing container traffic, strengthening multimodal connectivity, and positioning itself as a competitive logistics gateway was also showcased.
The visit provided an excellent platform for constructive engagement and exchange of insights, reinforcing the Port’s commitment towards operational excellence, sustainability, and strengthening its role in India’s maritime and logistics ecosystem.
