Paradip Port Crosses 150.22 MMT Cargo Milestone, Poised to Set All-Time Record in Cargo Handling

Continuing its strong growth trajectory, Paradip Port Authority (PPA) has achieved a remarkable milestone by crossing 150.22 Million Tonnes (MMT) of cargo throughput as on 19 March 2026, with 12 days still remaining in FY 2025–2026.
Building on its consistent performance, the Port has once again demonstrated its operational strength by achieving this landmark ahead of schedule. This feat reflects PPA’s sustained focus on efficiency, capacity enhancement, and seamless logistics operations despite dynamic market conditions.
The milestone reflects sustained operational excellence, improved efficiency, and the dedicated efforts of the entire port community for a resilient upward trend in FY 2025–2026.
The Port is now poised to set a new all-time record in cargo handling, further strengthening its role in India’s maritime trade. Growth across major cargo segments, along with continuous system improvements and infrastructure development, has contributed significantly to this achievement.
To mark the occasion, a cake-cutting ceremony was held in the presence of P. L. Haranadh, IRTS, Chairman, T. Venu Gopal, Deputy Chairman, along with Heads of Departments and senior employees of Paradip Port Authority, celebrating the collective efforts behind this success.
On this occasion, P. L. Haranadh expressed his gratitude to Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, for his continued guidance and support.
He congratulated all officers, employees, port users, stevedores, shipping agents, trade unions, and PPP operators for their dedication and contribution to achieving this milestone.
He also acknowledged the support of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Government of Odisha, Indian Railways, Customs, and other stakeholders.
