Paradip Port Observes International Day of Persons With Disabilities

Paradip Port Authority on 3 December 2025 observed the “International Day of Persons with Disabilities” at JAGRUTY School for differently-abled children. The event focused on this year’s theme, “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress”.
Capt A C Sahoo, Dy. Conservator, PPA graced the programme as Chief Guest. He appreciated the spirit and determination of the children and assured that PPA will continue to support the school’s overall development. Guest of Honour Chief Engineer, PPA, H S Rout also assured infrastructure development of the school.
Susil Chandra Nahak, CME, Paradip Ladies’ Club Secretary Smt. Puspanjali Sahoo, Secretary, Smt. Gemima Edison, Treasurer, Smt. Kabita Nahak, Working President and Smt. Sabita Sahu, member of the ladies Club, Smt. Nalini Mohanty, Principal, Jagruty also graced as Guests of Honour. Prasanta Kumar Moharana, Dy. CAO also spoke on the occasion.
During the programme, mementoes were distributed among 51 Divyang employees of Paradip Port Authority in recognition of their contribution by PPA. PPA also presented school kits to the children of JAGRUTY School as well as staff of Jagruty, while the Paradip Ladies Club extended financial assistance to the institution.
Cultural performances by the students added warmth to the event and drew an enthusiastic response from the audience. Rama Chandra Pradhan, Welfare Officer, gave the welcome speech & Smt Seemashri Beura, Treasurer, Jagruty offered the vote of thanks. Paradip Port Authority reaffirmed its commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive ecosystem for persons with disabilities and promoting opportunities for their empowerment.
