It was indeed a landmark moment for Deendayal Port Authority, as the port proudly welcomed MV Capetan Vassilis II, India’s first Premium Products Vessel, berthed at Cargo Jetty No. 02, Kandla.
According to official sources, for the first time, these premium crop nutrition products, traditionally moved in containers, are now being shipped via a bulk carrier, marking a transformative step in supply-chain efficiency.
This milestone strengthens DPA’s role in enabling high-quality agri supply chains and supporting India’s farmers, the official added. The stevedoring operation was done by Rishi Shipping, with YARA serving as the importer of the premium agricultural products.
