SCI Enhances Presence on Indian Coast, Adds Deendayal Port to SMILE Service

The Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) in its continuous efforts to facilitate shipping solutions to the Indian trade has now upgraded the coastal SMILE service by adding Deendayal Port Trust, Kandla call on the SMILE Service.

The SMILE service is a dedicated SCI Service catering to Indian coastal trade on the west coast of India to southern ports of India like Cochin and Tuticorin.

The induction of Deendayal Port Trust, Kandla, in SMILE service is in the interest of SCI’s valued customers, who had been requesting SCI for Deendayal Port Trust, Kandla call in SMILE service. The SMILE service which already has an established Coastal market from Mundra and Pipavav to Cochin / Tuticorin thus will also call Deendayal Port Trust, Kandla port to serve coastal trade for Cochin /Tuticorin.

The Deendayal Port Trust, Kandla call in SMILE service will commence from the MV SCI Mumbai SM 386, ETA Kandla 04 January 2018 and the new port rotation will be Kandla – Mundra – Pipavav – Cochin – Tuticorin.
