Mundra Port Successfully Handles Naphtha BTPN Wagon, Opens New Opportunity for Trade

Adani Ports & SEZ Ltd for the first time Naphtha BTPN wagon unloaded on 8 June 2019 successfully at MDCC at Mundra.

It may be worth recalled here that Mundra Port recently developed new infrastructure for handling of highly flammable cargo like Petroleum grade Naphtha with utmost safety features considered which are approved by Petroleum Explosive and Safety Organization (PESO).

According to official sources, handling of Naphtha particularly, Mundra port (Liquid Terminal) consists of internal roof tanks for handling of high vaporization and flammable product, separate pump house for unloading Naphtha rakes and export of cargo into ships.

With this new facility, the Port is all set to attract clients from the Western and Northern parts of India, official sources added.
