Lithuanian Delegation Visits Mumbai Port

A delegation led by Mr. Linas Linkevicius, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania along with Mr. Laimona Talat-Kelpsa, Ambassador of Lithuania visited Mumbai Port Trust on 10 October.

According to a media statement, the delegation held discussions with Mr Sanjay Bhatia, IAS, Chairman and Mr Yasodhan Wanage, IRS, Deputy Chairman along with MbPT’s senior officials.

The objective of the visit of the delegation to Mumbai Port Trust is to facilitate building closer sea connectivity links between India and Lithuania.

LINKEVIČIUS PRESENTS POTENTIAL OF KLAIPĖDA PORT IN MUMBAI

On 10 October in Mumbai, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius continued his visit to India, met with representatives from the largest Indian and international transport and logistics companies, and presented the potential of the Port of Klaipėda.

“Klaipėda is the northernmost ice-free port of the Baltic Sea and Lithuania’s geographical position provides unique opportunities for freight shipping to various locations,” said Linkevičius told entrepreneurs in Mumbai.
