Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry Organises Seminar on Desalination

In continuation to the memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and meeting with the District Collector regarding development of Thoothukudi District, Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI), Tuticorin, conducted an interactive meeting on Desalination Plant and its importance on 23 April at Chamber Hall.

Mr.T.Johnson, Chamber President, presided over the meeting and Mr.D.R.Kodeeswaran, Secretary, rendered a welcome address.

The speaker  Mr.P.Gurusamy B.E.(Hons) MBA., a Retired Engineer from TWAD Board and Consultant of M/s.Tamilnadu Water Investment company Ltd, Chennai, elaborated and gave a power point presentation about the necessary of Desalination Plant in near future and answered to the questions raised by participants.

The Guest honour of the meeting Mr.Balasubramanian B.E.M Tech, Executive Engineer TWAD Board, Chidambaranagar, Tuticorin, briefed about the desalination plant and its importance. Officials from VOC Port Trust, DCW, SPIC, My Home Industries, Nila Sea Foods, FOREST SULLIVAN besides Chamber Past President Mr.V.Ramasubramanian, Treasurer Mr.C.N.Dharmaraj and Chamber EC Members attended.  At the end of the Meeting “GST E Way Bill Explanation Book” was released and the same was received by Mr.Ganesan, President Thuddissia and Mr.Suresh Senior General Manager , DCW.  Earlier Mr.D.Senthilkannan introduced about Mr.P.Gurusamy to the participants. Finally Mr.Nehru Prakash gave a Vote of Thanks.
