Gadkari, Fadnavis Jointly Inaugurate New Domestic Cruise Terminal in Mumbai Port

Union Shipping, Highways and Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis jointly inaugurated the new domestic cruise terminal in Mumbai Port on 20 October 2018.

As part of the celebration, the much awaited Goa cruise service ‘ Angriya’ was also flagged off by Mr Gadkari and Mr Fadnavis. The service will operate between Mumbai and Goa on alternate days.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gadkari said the domestic cruise terminal will create employment opportunity for 2.5 lakh youth in the next five years. Mr Gadkari also said that works to the tune of 2.5 lakh crore have been earmarked for ports under the Union Government’s ambitious Sagarmala Project.
