Dredging Corporation of India Bags Indian Navy Contract For Maintenance Dredging of Naval Sites

Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) has participated in a Global Request for Proposal (RFP) for Maintenance Dredging of Naval sites at Mumbai invited by Naval Dockyard (Mumbai) during November 2019.

DCIL successfully bagged the project in a stiff competition. The project involves Maintenance Dredging on assured depth basis to be completed within one year at a cost of Rs. 66.20 Cr. The contract agreement between DCIL and Indian Navy was signed on 05 February 2020.

DCI has planned to commence the dredging work by second week of February 2020 as per the project schedule. Earlier, DCIL has also signed agreement with Visakhapatnam Port Trust for Annual Maintenance dredging and beach nourishment work at VPT for three years w.e.f. 2019-20 at an estimated cost of Rs. 39.966 Cr.
