DP WORLD Chennai Felicitated on International Customs Day

Global trade enabler DP World operated Chennai Container Terminal (CCT) on the occasion of International Customs Day was felicitated by Chennai customs for their exemplary and commendable work to facilitate ease of doing business at the port.

The award and certificate of appreciation was accepted by Capt. R. Venkatesh, Chief Executive Officer, DP World Chennai in the presence of Shri Ajit Kumar, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Chennai Zone. Other dignitaries present at the function were Mr. C.K. Balagopalan, veteran dancer and Mr. C.B Rao, GST – Tamil Nadu& Puducherry Circle, various trade bodies, EXIM fraternity and customs officials.

Commenting on this felicitation, Capt. R Venkatesh, Chief Executive Officer said, “We at DP World have always worked towards improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain by introducing trade solutions that will facilitate ease of doing business. This felicitation signifies the goodwill earned by CCT through the earnest efforts to improve EXIM facilities and adhere to procedures set by the Customs authorities, EXIM fraternity &other trade bodies.”
