Deendayal Port Organises Training For Soon-To-Be Retirees

‘One Day Pre-retirement Training Programme’ for the Officers / Employees’ has been organized for those who are due for retirement during the month of November, December-2017 and January-2018. While inaugurating the programme, the Chief Guest –Mr Alok Singh, IRS, Deputy Chairman, Deendayal Port Trust (DPT), formerly Kandla Port Trust, stated that this kind of programme are very much relevant in the present time.

He further stated that an employee, who is at the verge of retirement, requires to manage two things i.e Health and Wealth and expressed his happiness that the Port Doctor has also been roped into as Faculty along with senior officials of Government Financial Institutions, in the programme.

While welcoming the Chief Guest, participants and Guest Speakers, Mr Bimal Kumar Jha, Secretary, Deendayal Port Trust, stated that this type of training programme is first of its kind in the Port which has especially been conceived to meet the need of the employees / officers, who are at the verge of retirement.

Capt. T. Srinivas, Dy. Conservator, Mr D.N. Sondhi, FA&CAO and Mr S.K. Das, Chief Mechanical Engineer were also present to grace the occasion along with other senior officers.

Around 35 Officers / Employees’, participated in the said programme. Senior officials from Life Corporation of India, Indian Postal Authority, Stock Holding Corporation India Ltd., and State Bank of India, presented their various schemes / financial products, as an option for safe investment of the Funds. Dr. S.B. Suryawanshi of Deendayal Port Trust shared the tips for maintaining sound health particularly in old age and life style to be adopted in Post Retirement period. The session taken by Dr. Surywanshi was appreciated and applauded by all the participants.
