Chettinad Group Donates Rs 50 Lakhs Towards Tamil Nadu CM Relief Fund

As part of his company’s corporate social responsibility in rebuilding lives affected in cyclone Gaja that ripped apart parts of Tamil Nadu few weeks ago, industrialist and Chettinad group scion M A M R Muthiah met the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edapadi Palaniswamy on 7 December 2018 and handed over a cheque of Rs 50 Lakhs towards Tamil Nadu CM Relief Fund.

After chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami requested the public and philanthropists to donate generously for the rehabilitation for the cyclone victims, several education institutions, including VIT and SASTRA universities, commercial establishments and private firms have donated several crores of rupees. The contribution to the relief fund steadily increasing and expected to cross Rs 100 crore mark soon.
