Chennai Port Surpasses Previous Record Handling of Rock Phosphate

The Chennai Port has recorded another landmark performance, by handling Rock Phosphate of 21,050 Tonnes, imported from the vessel m.v. BULKTEC on 04 March 2018.

According to a media statement by the port authorities, the noteworthy achievement surpasses the previous record of 18,500 Tonnes imported from the vessel m.v. BLUE DIAMOND   on 29 March 2009.

Shri. P. Raveendran, IRTS Chairman, Chennai Port Trust, applauded the significant handling of the Rock Phosphate cargo by M/s. Seatrans Marine Private Ltd – Steamer Agent and M/s. Seagreen Stevedoring and Logistics Private Limited – Stevedores Agent, which replicates the ports capability and the confidence among the trade.
