Chennai Port Reaches To the Aid of Gaja Cyclone Affected People in State

Chennai Port Officers and Employees have generously contributed one day salary for the relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Gaja Cyclone affected people. On behalf of Chennai Port Trust, Shri P. Raveendran, Chairman handed over a cheque for Rs.59,43,119 to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu on 14 February 2019 for the relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Gaja Cyclone to mitigate the plight of people affected in this cyclone.

Earlier in order to extend a helping hand to the people affected by Kerala Flood, food items, cleaning materials, dress materials, stationery items and water bottles for school children worth Rs.20 lakhs has also been distributed by Chennai Port Trust thro V.O.C. Port Trust during September 2018.
