As part of promoting International Year of Millets (IYOM)-2023, O/o Addl. DGFT, Chennai in association with APEDA organised Export Awareness Program to promote “Millet” as Super Food of the Future at Anna Centenary Library, Chennai on 15 March 2023.
The program was attended by exporters, FPOs, Startups and women entrepreneurs. Officials from the O/o Addl.DGFT, APEDA, NABARD, FIEO, IIP and MABIF briefed the participants about IYOM 2023, activities being undertaken for FPOs, exporters and other stakeholders by the Govt. agencies specifically to promote millet and millet products.
One of the entrepreneur from Chennai Mr.Guru Abhishek introduced Millet Tea under the brand “Health Sure”. Millet Tea, one of its first kind was launched by the officials of O/o Addl.DGFT, APEDA, NABARD & FIEO.
Entrepreneur turned exporter for millet and millet value added products under the brand “Millet Bank” and women entrepreneur under the brand “Some More” shared their success stories in marketing millet products.
The participants appreciated Millet lunch and millet tea served during the program.
